Cycling

The reputation of Mallorca Island as the mecca of cycling is well-known all over Europe. This is due to Sóller’s natural environment characterised by its impressive slopes, the sunshine, well designed roads, The Mediterranean Sea and the local inhabitants’ passion for the world of cycling.

We recommend you to explore Tramuntana Mountains from the sea and discover wonderful corners such as Sa Calobra, Cala Tuent, Torrent de Pareis, Cala Deia and Sa Foradada

Trekking

Sóller is one the central axes of the Mountains of Tramuntana where countless hiking routes start from, such as, the Route of Pedra en Sec (Dried Stone) or the Barranc de Biniaraix (Biniaraix Ravine), Sóller’s Port, Mirador the Ses Barques (Ses Barques Viewpoint) or Embalse de Cúber (Cuber’s Reservoir) … You will find a big number of routes among cliffs and stone paths where you will enjoy unbelievable landscapes with the seaside view in most cases.

Train and Tram

The tram in Sóller is one of the most well-known tourist attractions in town. It has been active since 1912 and it travels across the streets in the centre of the town to end in the Port. The trip lasts about 15 minutes and goes through fragrant orange groves, old harbour installations as far as the Port. The three engine trams, numbered from 1 to 3 and their trailers 5 and 6 are still the old, original ones, from 1912. The wagons are opened on the sides and equipped with wooden benches.

The train of Sóller travels between Palma and Sóller daily and goes through the Mountains of Alfabia (500 metres high). The trip offers a unique view of the most beautiful landscapes of the island.
